Columbia in Paris: Breakdown by School

  • In addition to the 605 alumni of Columbia College who have attended Reid Hall, there have been 74 from General Studies, 47 from the Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, 37 from the School of International and Public Affairs, and 32 from Business.
  • Thirty one Law alumni studied at Reid Hall, along with 27 Journalism graduates and 16 women from Barnard.
  • The list includes smaller totals from Architecture, the School of the Arts, Social Work, Public Health, Engineering, Library Service, Medical School, Teacher’s, and a lone graduate of the Dental School.

Where We Are in the World Now

  • Most alumni on the list now live in the US (757). That count includes 330 in New York State, 100 in California, and 55 in Massachusetts. Although Reid Hall alumni live in 41 states and Puerto Rico, just one each resides in Delaware, Louisiana, Mississippi, Nebraska, New Mexico and West Virginia.
  • Fifteen of us still live in France.
  • Ten are in the UK and another 12 are scattered across Belgium, Switzerland, Italy, Greece, Germany, Bulgaria, Poland and Spain.
  • As for the rest of the world, records show five Reid Hall alumni in Canada, two each in China and Singapore, and one each in Bahrain, Jordan, the UEA, Turkey, Japan, South Korea, Hong Kong, the Dominican Republic and Panama.

Vintage

  • The records show that more than 600 of us graduated from Columbia during the ‘80s, the ‘90s and the ‘00s, along with another 66 in the last two years. Fifty-nine graduated during the ‘70s, four in the ‘60s, two in the ‘50s and one in the ‘40s. For more information on Columbia’s historical beginnings at Reid Hall, click here.
